Fojas, M.D.<\/em><br \/>\n<b>Introduction<\/b><br \/>\n\u201cIf you use penicillin, use enough.\u201d \u2013 a\u00a0previous warning from the inventor of penicillin,\u00a0Alexander Fleming regarding antibiotics.<sup>1<\/sup> In the early\u00a01940s, penicillin resulted to favorable outcomes\u00a0within 4 to 5 days, yet the belief that longer antibiotic\u00a0use is necessary is still being practicd even in these\u00a0modern days. The 7-day use of these medicines was\u00a0based on the code by a Roman Emperor in AD 321\u00a0that there are 7 days in a week.
