\nAbstract:<\/strong>
\nBacterial meningitis is a common cause of morbidity and mortality among infants in developing countries. Because of the limited data on Filipino neonates, this retrospective study was undertaken to identify the etiologic agents and to describe the clinical presentation of neonatal meningitis. Of the 290 charts of patients admitted from July 1982 to December 1994 with the diagnosis of sepsis and meningitis that were reviewed, 32 met the inclusion criteria for purulent meningitis.
