Any topic on Pediatric Infectious Diseases can be submitted. Interested participants are encouraged to submit a copy of their research papers and a completed abstract form to <a href=\"mailto:pidsp@uplink.com.ph\">pidsp@uplink.com.ph<\/a> with poster presentation as the subject heading. Attached are the rules for submission and an abstract form which you may reproduce if your institution has more than 1 entry.<\/p>\n<p>To encourage participation, the Society would like to offer the following:<\/p>\n<ol type=\"1\">\n<li>Free convention registration for the research contest participants who submitted on or before the deadline;<\/li>\n<li>Prizes for the winners are as follows:\n<ul>\n<li>1st Prize : Php 15,000.00<\/li>\n<li>2nd Prize : Php 12,000.00<\/li>\n<li>3rd Prize : Php 8,000.00<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The author of the winning papers shall give an oral presentation during the PIDSP convention and these researches are assured of publication in the PIDSP journal. Pagcatipunan, MD<\/strong><br \/>\nOverall Chair<br \/>\n24th PIDSP Annual Convention<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION<\/h3>\n<p>The Research and Poster Committee of the 24th PIDSP Annual Convention encourages all researchers and practitioners to contribute to the program by submitting recent researches on infectious diseases (within the last five years) for poster presentation<\/p>\n<p>Papers must be original and must not have been published or presented at any other meeting prior to the Congress.<\/p>\n<p>Kindly submit an electronic copy of your full research paper and the abstract presentation form with the following specifications:<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Full Research Paper<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\nFont: Times New Roman, size 12<br \/>\nPaper: A4<br \/>\nLine spacing: Double spaced<br \/>\nLength: body of the paper should be a maximum of 15 pages(Introduction\/Significance, Review of Literature, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Recommendations)<br \/>\nNo identifying marks such as author\u2019s name or institution should appear in any part of the paper. The appearance of an author\u2019s\/institution\u2019s name in any of the contents of the paper, which includes the title, the abstract and the text of the research paper, whether intentionally or not, will be disqualified from participating in the contest.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Abstract Presentation Form<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\nFont: Times New Roman, size 12<br \/>\nPaper: A4<br \/>\nLine spacing: single spaced<br \/>\nTitle of the paper must appear in upper and lower case.<br \/>\nAbstract of the paper should contain no more than 300 words.<br \/>\nAbstracts should clearly state:<br \/>\nBackground and objectives<br \/>\nMethods<br \/>\nResults\/Conclusions<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Papers\/abstracts stating \u201cdata will be discussed in the presentation\u201d will NOT be accepted<\/li>\n<li>Use only standard abbreviations. Place special or unusual abbreviations in parentheses after the full word the first time it appears<\/li>\n<li>Use generic names of drugs. Express numbers as numerals.<\/li>\n<li>The name\/s of the author\/s and institution\/s must appear ONLY in the ABSTRACT PRESENTATION FORM which will remain with the committee chair for identification purposes, but will not be given to the other members of the committee nor judges.
